So, one of the things I'm really know for are Implants. And the reason I'm known for implants is because the way we've developed a specific technique to help patients replace missing teeth. Whether it's one tooth or multiple teeth.

About 8 years ago I was very fortunate to work hand in hand with a company based out of Germany and together we helped develop some technologies that allow us to more precisely treat patients with implants. What we've developed is a workflow where we can actually scan our patients in a 3D x-ray machine and in that 3D x-ray we can actually virtually simulate where the implants need to go. Regardless of make and manufacture of implants, we have access at Infinite Smiles to over a dozen different kinds of dental implants.

So, we can specifically select an implant that's perfect for that patient and virtually plant it in that 3D x-ray. And we design that based off of the teeth or the tooth that the patient's wanting so we work backwards, essentially, in front of the patient when they come in for a console, which is complimentary by the way, we can actually show them where the tooth is, what the tooth will look like and then show them where the implant goes underneath that situation. So we can plan for it to be exactly where it needs to go.

Then what we do is we send this information off to our CAD/CAM machine and it can actually mill the stent; or the surgical guide is what it's known as. And this surgical guide is a clear plastic device that snaps into the patient's mouth and has a really tiny hole in it. And what we use that for is to help us use a specific pattern of doing the surgery through that tiny tiny hole, so it's microsurgery. But the real benefit is the precision. That really tiny hole guides me as a dentist to help me place that implant exactly where we planned it so the benefit to the patient is it's absolute surgical precision. No need to make any incisions, in fact, most patients say that it was better or easier than having a filling done. So that's how pain-free it can be because of these technologies. And that's applied for anything from one missing tooth to patients who unfortunately have lost all of their teeth over the course of time and have dentures or have been wearing dentures for a long time and now are coming to see us to replace all of their teeth permanently.

And so these implants that we restore here at Infinite Smiles are about eight times stronger than natural teeth and they can last a lifetime if they're well taken care of and the real benefit is that it looks natural, it feels natural, but it's impervious to cavities and those other things that natural teeth can sometimes succumb to. So, Infinite Smiles is known for digital implantology and guided implantology and that's one thing that I'm really proud of.

Infinite Smiles is a premier dental implant restoration practice that can handle all of your implant needs under one roof. Dr. Neal Patel, a graduate of The Ohio State University College of Dentistry, is able to restore all types of implants in Columbus, Ohio and the surrounding communities of Powell, Dublin, and Delaware. With the goal of achieving optimal oral health and natural aesthetics, Drs. Patel and Marta can create quality restorations that are superior to those you will find elsewhere in the area.

Hand-crafted at Infinite Smiles, implants replicate natural teeth.

What Is a Dental Implant?

A dental implant is a permanent tooth replacement option. It consists of a titanium post that is placed permanently into the jawbone to act as a tooth root, topped with a crown—a ceramic replacement tooth. With proper care, a dental implant can last your entire lifetime and be nearly or even completely indistinguishable from your natural teeth. The implant will naturally fuse with your jawbone and create a strong anchor for your single tooth restoration.

Dental implants offer an alternative to dentures or bridges. Implants can also be used to hold a denture permanently into place.

How We Are Different

The distinct advantage of having Dr. Patel do your dental implants is we have all of the expertise and technology onsite in our own dental laboratory, as well as our own certified master of dental technology to create your tooth restorations right here. Dr. Patel is trained to provide the entire treatment from start to finish, unlike the vast majority of clinicians who only focus on one aspect and require that the patient sees multiple dentists to complete the project. The comprehensive care and facility means you are not required to come back for multiple visits or go to several different dentists. Rather we offer a true experience of new teeth in just one day, so that when you come in for your procedure, you leave with a beautiful smile and your oral health problems fixed. This life-altering surgery changes people’s lives.

Dr. Patel doesn’t just have these technologies, but he travels extensively across the United States and overseas, teaching other dentists how to use them in their own practices. He is more than just a dentist, he is a trainer of dentists.

One of the most accurate forms of tooth replacement, dental implants flawlessly replicate the look and feel of natural teeth.

Extensive Technology for Placing Dental Implants

  • 3D Digital X-rays allow the doctors at Infinite Smiles to see both hard and soft tissue, providing a full, clear view of the treatment area, unlike traditional X-rays.
  • A patient’s specific digital data is used create a computer simulation of the dental procedure, so Dr. Patel can perform a “virtual surgery” in advance in order to perfectly plan the actual surgery.
  • A surgical guide is created from the precise computer data from the scans. The guide ensures the implant is placed at ideal angle and depth during surgery.
  • Replacement teeth, or crowns, are milled in-house, allowing the complete tooth replacement procedure to be done in one visit.

Why Choose Dental Implants?

If you are missing one or more teeth, you are sure to have experienced a wide range of problems, from chewing difficulties to social embarrassment from a damaged smile. Problems from missing teeth go far beyond looks. People with missing teeth are more susceptible to bone loss. Lack of bone structure limits your chewing ability and contributes to a sagging lower face, aging you by as many as 10 years! Additionally, missing teeth are more likely to cause other oral health problems, including disease and decay.
